However, if you read this article from last Thursday’s Pioneer Press, things aren’t as bad as they seem. It just sounds like for the time being, First Ave will be closed until things get straightened out and Steve & Jack can take over.
Let’s hope this gets settled soon, and that they can maybe just shorten the name to First Ave (which everyone uses already anyway). But even if it gets a new name, as long as Steve is in charge, things will be ok i think.
Guess this makes me curious if i’ll get to see Blues Explosion & The Pony’s on Thur, and Matthew Sweet/Velvet Crush/Weakerthans on Friday

Here is a listing of where shows are being moved to. JSBX at the 400 Bar? saweet. Matthew Sweet at the Cabooze? odd, but i’ll still be there
