I did just see BSS twice in March, and The Walkmen at in In-Store a few months back. Pretty sure i’ll end up going to Sonic Youth, I just enjoy them quite a bit more than both the other bands combined.

I may just go to SY here, and drive to Milwaukee on 7/31 and see Modest Mouse, Broken Social Scene, & The Walkmen there at The Rave. Not to mention i’m pretty sure Le Tigre & Wolf Eyes will be opening for Sonic Youth here too.

had a great time in Chicago on Mon/Tue.

saw The Frames at The Hideout with some friends, and they totally blew my mind. I’d seen them 3 times prior, but all 3 were short 40-50 minute opening sets, and this was an insane 2:15, complete with 2 Pixies covers & 2 Neil Young covers (one during the opener).

how this band is not totally huge in America is beyond me, but for now, i’ll enjoy the small venues

they’ll hopefully be back to the US later this summer/fall, either before or just after their new record comes out (i’d guess after).
