Thanks to Sneak Attack Media, we’ve got a pair of tickets to see O’Death at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco this week! The show is 21+ this Friday 11/21 with Hillstomp and The Theater Fire. Email travis at morecowbell.net with the subject “O’Death” by Wednesday 11/19 to be considered.
“The result is a polygamous marriage of the Violent Femmes on meth, Gogol Bordello on fatback and the bastard lovechild of a Charlie Daniels Band-Japonize- Elephants-Metallica three-way. And while polygamy might be illegal in most states, this marriage works.” — NY Press
O’Death’s Kemado Records debut, Broken Hymns, Limbs and Skin is out . The band fuses Americana and folk stylings with a jugband hoedown feel – drummer David Rogers-Berry will bang on pretty much anything he can find. Produced by Alex Newport, their third full length album is a more polished and less aggressive, however not a departure from their signature sound.
