SKOAL KODIAK!!!! oh and Tender Meat was amazing too.
um and Mach FoX…wtf does anyone know if the david bowie powebalad robo cop on pluto thing is serious? like it was deffinitlly interesting, but i rely hope the effect is intentional because it was hilarious
Well, for what it's worth, I asked them to play and I think they're hilarious. They work very hard and do what they do out of love for that style, but I doubt anyone doing that sort of thing is oblivious to the humorous element that can be applied to it. I appreciate anyone that puts that much effort into their presentation and shows that much love for their craft, especially if they live someplace where there is never going to be a huge audience for their kind of music. I also firmly believe that if they were the same age as, say, Tender Meat, and started out playing in the same venues that bands of their ilk play, they would be pretty popular. Part of the reason I slotted them where I did was because I thought some people from that crowd would enjoy them or appreciate their efforts, and I hope that was the case. They've stuck to their guns and I salute them for that.
I had a huge grin on my face the whole time they played, which is no common thing with me.
Besides, the level of seriousness of the musician is really immaterial. If you think it's hilarious, that's perfectly OK and it still means you're enjoying yourself, which is what I hope people are doing. Thanks so much for coming and for offering some comments. I had an incredible weekend.
Tender Meat was whoa.
Also, Moonstone's set was one of the greatest things I have ever seen.
