Lookbook @ The Entry

This has to be easily, the single most photographed scene in Minneapolis but Grant and Maggie make it look better than ever.

Picture 30

Chris Reimenschnieder makes a good point as he essentially says if its 80′s style eclectro, its getting mighty popular. Especially locally with Owl City, Solid Gold and Lookbook sticking ahead as frontrunners.

Get there early. Don’t be surprised when this one sells out.

Pantha du Prince – Stick To My Side (w/ Noah Lennox)

Picture 28
Anything Panda Bear (Noah Lennox) is doing sounds pretty nice…even if it is just a guest track. Can’t wait to hear his new one. This, however, is the new Pantha du Prince jam.
Get this quick as it will be taken down soon.. Buy it when it comes out 2/28 on Rough Trade.

Pantha Du Prince (feat. Panda Bear) – “Stick To My Side”; Something about Panda Bear guesting on tracks just works to absolute perfection. Atlas Sound figured it out with his “Walkabout” single and now Pantha Du Prince are incorporating it into their minimal, techno tinged sound. It works, giving a stronger voice to their music and showing people what true minimal electro should sound like – namely exciting and intense not boring and repetitive.

The 30th Annual John Lennon Tribute at First Avenue

Curtiss A and friends with Lucy Michelle and The Velvet Lapelles, Romantica, and many more played last night in the main room at First Avenue. I tend to avoid tribute shows, but this was fantastic.
