Jeremy Messersmith’s amazing new album is one of the best local releases of 2008. Dan Wilson (Semisonic) producted the record as well as played on the album. Jeremy will celebrate the release of his new album with a show tonight at the Varsity Theater.

Ben Weaver
celebrated the release of his new album The Ax in The Oak and his debut on Bloodshot Records - we reported about that here in April - with a CD Release Party at the Turf Club in St. Paul Saturday night. Though he’s played all over the world, The Turf Club has always served as a sort of home base for Weaver, so it was the perfect place to give him a send off for his next tour. Starting September 18, Weaver kicks off yet another European tour (heavy on dates in Germany) with a show in Fulda.

Revolver Modele celebrate the release of their latest album ‘The Illiterati’ with a show tonight at the Beasthouse (600 Washington Ave. N in Mpls) at 9pm. The show is free and 21+. Gospel Gossip are opening and there will be FREE limited-edition Revolver t-shirts by Anthem Heart. An after-party with drink specials will move down the street a bit to Clubhouse Jager.
