Tonight @ 400 Bar
Lara Marling @ 9pm
Johnny Flynn @ 10pm
Set-times from Brit Rock Is Always Top..
i spliced in the audio from John’s recording to a short clip i took during Tunnels at the Minneapolis show last Saturday. It’s a bit dark and kinda grainy, but still sorta neat imo.
Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) (5.17 MB)
Edit: Also, from arcadefire.com, concerning their January/February dates, updated yesterday:
“There are lots of other shows in the works, such as: Austin, Atlanta, New York, Boston, New Orleans (especially New Orleans), etc. So more and more of those dates will appear over time.”
You remember last week when i promised that this wasn’t becoming an Arcade Fire fansite? Well i plan to keep it that way, but this will be one soon:

Nothing there as of yet, but stay tuned.
In the meantime, the show last night was just ridiculous. I’m hoping to write up more of a review or something tomorrow maybe, but for now, enjoy some photos from last night, while listening to last night’s show.
Thanks to John for taping, and brooklynvegan for urging him to go (and tape).
Update: lots of local bloggers takes on the show:

Her Space Holiday
at 400 Bar, Minnesota
$8 in advance $10 day of show
Normally i’d be ecstatic to finally see these guys, if it wasn’t for the fact that i already have tickets to see Martin Sexton that night, and there’s a show at the Triple Rock i ALSO want to see that night (Rye Coalition, Your Enemies Friends, & Division of Laura Lee).
this. sucks.
there is still a possibility i can see Her Space Holiday after the Martin Sexton show, as it’s a theatre show, starting at 7:30, and 400 Bar Shows always start at 9 or later. guess we’ll see.
not to mention, the late show at the Triple Rock is also pretty solid, John Vanderslice (even if i can’t stand him live), Robbers on High Street, & Will Johnson (of Centr-Matic).
