“For the last 6 months we’ve been experimenting with the idea of having bands play before our Saturday midnight movies. Basically we open the doors at 11:45 pm, the band plays on our stage at midnight for about 25 minutes and then we try to get the movie started at 12:30 am.

Velvet Davenport are a conglomeration members of bands on the DIY record label Soothing Almonds Collective (Sarah Johnson, Tender Meat, Voyager & Moonstone (Playing Sunday @ Acadia))
They have recently been seen opening for Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti & on stage @ 7th St. Entry, Drinking With Ian @ First Avenue’s Mainroom as well as live on Radio K. They just released their debut “Happy Endings”
This band of young gypsy freaks will be taking on the Nomad every Thursday in February with some amazing openers..
