Come early and stay for the whole evening, or drop in for an hour or so and sample some of the best music around in optimal listening room conditions. Tonight’s program is curated and hosted by Holly Muñoz of Draw Fire Records and the band Aviette. At the top of the bill is First Communion After Party: “FCAP’s members were too young for even the ‘90s psychedelic movement. Which might explain why they seem so genuine.” – Star Tribune

Ghost In The Water: husband and wife create intimate, charming electronic pop, suspended weightless between the twin poles of childlike enthusiasm and haunted memories.

Also on the bill are Total Babes, led by Clara Salyer (ex-Hope For The Future). Here’s how Clare, somewhat reluctantly, describes her new band: It’s sort of low-fi folk with acoustic guitars, violin, and drums. I’d say it’s definitely serious music but with a playful side only a band full of high schoolers can bring. Maybe if Land Of Talk joined forces with Arcade Fire, mellowed way out and lost about 15 years…

From the theater company who brought you “Fort Wilson Riot presents: Idigaragua,” (Variety Review) and “Massgraves, ft. Kill the Vultures“…. Lamb Lays with Lion is proud to present our newest ensemble created work: Tenebrism.

Tenebrism is inspired by the religious imagery of Renaissance painter Caravaggio, Martin Scorsesse’s “The Last Temptation of Christ,” and legendary rock star Ian Curtis and his iconic post-punk band, Joy Division.

After the theatrical performance, Lamb Lays with Lion will treat audience members to a medley of silent films and video clips. Each evening a different Twin Cities band will perform live, to soundtrack the films.
