This is Grant’s first album in 10 years, and it’s a good one. Half of it was recorded in Montreal with members of Godspeed You Black Emperor, the other half was cut at Mike Wisti’s studio here in town. I think it sounds fantastic, and if you’re a fan of his songwriting you won’t be disappointed. The CDs will be ready in time for the show, but the vinyl will be delayed a bit — it’s intended to be a 180 gram pressing, and the pressing plant got their wires crossed and rolled out the test presses on regular weight vinyl — but what the fuck, come on down anyhow.
