(Pianist Bryan Nichols leads his relatively new but intensely exciting quartet back into the Clown Lounge. His group features Clownge regulars Fat Kid Wednesdays and Bryan’s original compositions.

Then bassist Jim Anton (of Johnny Lang’s band) is joined by Noah Levy (Hookers and Blow) and Brian Gallagher (Prince) for a rockin’ set of instrumental and experimental music.)

Velvet Davenport announce February Minneseries @ Nomad

Velvet Davenport are a conglomeration members of bands on the DIY record label Soothing Almonds Collective (Sarah Johnson, Tender Meat, Voyager & Moonstone (Playing Sunday @ Acadia))

They have recently been seen opening for Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti & on stage @ 7th St. Entry, Drinking With Ian @ First Avenue’s Mainroom as well as live on Radio K. They  just released their debut “Happy Endings”

This band of young gypsy freaks will be taking on the Nomad every Thursday in February with some amazing openers..
