Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles played their last show until this fall at the Memory Lanes Block Party in Seward. The band just wrapped their latest album last week at the Terrarium in Northeast and will be on hiatus as Lucy spends the summer in Colorado. Light rain fell during the second half of their set, no one in the crowd seemed to mind.

Francis Harold and the Holograms play a great combination of obnoxious punk combined with blown out noise rock. For fans of Flipper & Fang, or for something more recent, file them with yer Pissed Jeans & Clockcleaner records. I think we had their debut 7″ in stock at EN for one hot minute and its now long out of print. They have a new 7″ on Hozac and an LP on Going Underground that you could probably find with some online searching, or the band is sure to have copies in person. Flyer up shortly.
