Minneapolis music fans know that The Replacements’ influence is far reaching. But far enough to reach a folk country singer from Memphis, TN? Yes indeed, and that man is Justin Townes Earle. Though labeling Earle as anything might be a stretch. Along with a great cover of “Can’t Hardly Wait”, Earle also finds inspiration in Hank Williams Sr. Led Belly and Townes Van Zandt, one of his name sakes. The last name comes from his father, the legendary Steve Earle. “You better come correct with those two names”, admits Earle. And come correct he shall, this Thursday, February 25, at the Turf Club in St. Paul.
