The Whole Music Club presents:

BLOODY BIJOU: DEAD ALIVE W/ PAINTED SAINTS

Join us for a night of blood, guts, and fine music. The Whole Music Club is proud to present it’s Bloody Bijou movies and music series this Spring of 2009. Join us for a brief but exciting romp though the bloodiest, slicing-est, dicing-est movies ever, joined by the finest in local music.

January 29th features the local band Painted Saints. The Painted Saints “take country-blues-folk at its finest and adds awe-inspiring cello, bar banter wisdom and a few wild cards for good measure, hearkening back to a mythical time when men were men, moonshine flowed freely and a musician couldn’t get by if he didn’t play a mean fiddle and whistle ‘For a Fistful of Dollars’ in his sleep.” (-Splendid)

Immediately following the set is the Peter Jackson-directed comic-thriller “Dead Alive”. This New Zealand-made film is notorious for being the “bloodiest movie ever made.” Zombies, dog-eating grandmothers, and a kung-fu priest all make appearances.

Coffman Memorial Union, The Whole.
