Sarah Johnson is one of the best rock bands from Minneapolis but soon to be they will be residents of the road, and then Asheville, NC. This show doubles as their SPLIT TAPE RELEASE SHOW out on SACRECORDS

The trio will settle down on the east coast after a month long tour. The dates can be seen on their MySpace here..

A noise band with a beat, these dudes will melt your face.

VOYAGER @ HONEY – Tonight!

Voyager has recently reunited and are more magical than ever. This band has two synth wizards (John Kuder & Aaron Baum) as well as other members of Moonstone (Seth Rosetter & Sean Hartman) and rounded out with Jon Coe (Tender Meat) on drums.

Voyager was one of City Pages’ “Picked to Click” ranked bands in 2008 even though they went on hiatus months before voting even began.

Regardless they are back and it sounds ridculous. Find out for yourself tonight @

Voyager will be performing at New Music Tuesdays with MFR tonight at Honey. Doors open at 9pm, admission is $5 and Voyager will be going on around 10:30.

Velvet Davenport announce February Minneseries @ Nomad

Velvet Davenport are a conglomeration members of bands on the DIY record label Soothing Almonds Collective (Sarah Johnson, Tender Meat, Voyager & Moonstone (Playing Sunday @ Acadia))

They have recently been seen opening for Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti & on stage @ 7th St. Entry, Drinking With Ian @ First Avenue’s Mainroom as well as live on Radio K. They  just released their debut “Happy Endings”

This band of young gypsy freaks will be taking on the Nomad every Thursday in February with some amazing openers..
